PECO, PGW EnergySense, EAP & Lennox Incentives for Qualifying Installations
Replacing a heating or cooling system is a significant investment, and Philadelphia-area homeowners may be able to reduce their out-of-pocket costs through rebate programs from PECO, PGW EnergySense, the Electrical Association of Philadelphia, and participating manufacturers. Qualifying requires the right equipment, a licensed installer, and proper documentation. Peters Associates has served the Philadelphia area since 1945, has held the Lennox Premier Dealer status since 2003, and is affiliated with the Electrical Association of Philadelphia, giving our customers a direct path through the rebate process from equipment selection to application filing.
We’re also a NEIF-approved contractor, one of a select group that allows homeowners to access fixed-rate, no-fee energy improvement financing. Every utility and manufacturer rebate program we work with requires licensed contractor installation, and we handle the documentation required for each application.
PECO Rebates for Cooling & Heating Equipment
PECO administers rebates for Philadelphia-area electric customers who replace qualifying cooling and heating equipment under Pennsylvania’s Act 129 energy efficiency program. Eligible equipment must be new, must replace an existing system at a PECO-served residence, and must be ENERGY STAR certified with AHRI-rated efficiency at the system level. New construction doesn’t qualify. Customers who have switched to an alternate electric supplier remain eligible, and all applications must be submitted within 90 days of the purchase date.
Rebate eligibility is determined by the system combination, not individual components. The AHRI certificate number, which covers the outdoor unit, indoor coil, and air handler together, is required when you apply. We provide that documentation with every qualifying installation.
The heating system rebates above apply within the Bucks County and Montgomery County portions of PECO’s service territory, not Philadelphia proper. Rebate amounts are subject to change as PECO program phases update. Confirm current figures before installation.
PGW EnergySense Rebates for Natural Gas Customers
Philadelphia Gas Works administers the EnergySense rebate program for residential natural gas customers. PGW is the largest municipally owned gas utility in the country, serving roughly 500,000 Philadelphia customers, and its rebate program runs through August 31, 2027. Rebates are awarded first-come, first-served by application date and are subject to available funds, so applying promptly after installation matters.
Income-qualified customers enrolled in PGW’s Customer Responsibility Program, a UESF (Utility Emergency Services Fund) grant, or a LIHEAP grant assigned to PGW within the prior year can access the Affordable EnergySense tier, which carries higher rebate amounts. PGW has noted that check processing is currently subject to delays; plan your timeline accordingly.
The application requires your equipment invoice showing model number, serial number, and paid-in-full status, along with the AHRI certificate or ENERGY STAR certification, manufacturer specs, and a copy of your PGW bill. We provide the equipment documentation; you submit the application.
Electrical Association of Philadelphia Fall 2026 HVAC Rebates
As an Electrical Association of Philadelphia (EAP) affiliated contractor, Peters Associates can help homeowners take advantage of the EAP’s Fall 2026 Residential Heating & Air Conditioning Rebate Program. Rebates are available for qualifying heat pump, central air conditioning, and mini-split heat pump systems, with rebate amounts based on the efficiency rating of the complete AHRI-rated system.
Fall 2026 program deadlines

- Customer contracts may be signed beginning August 3, 2026
- Contracts must be signed by November 13, 2026
- Qualifying systems must be installed by November 27, 2026
- Rebate claims must be received by EAP by December 4, 2026
Can EAP rebates be combined with other rebates?
Yes. EAP rebates may be combined with PECO and other local utility rebates. However, EAP rebates cannot be combined with manufacturer rebates or discounts.
Combining Rebates & Financing on a Single Installation
Utility rebates, manufacturer promotions, and financing programs each operate under separate eligibility rules, which means a qualifying installation can draw from more than one source. As a Lennox Premier Dealer, we give customers access to current Lennox manufacturer rebates and promotions through an authorized channel. Our affiliation with the Electrical Association of Philadelphia also connects qualifying homeowners to the EAP’s Homeowners HVAC Rebate Program, which can be stacked with PECO utility rebates. Note that EAP rebates can’t be combined with manufacturer rebates.
Financing Programs We Offer
We offer three financing programs depending on your situation. PGW’s EnergySense program also lists NEIF’s KEEP Loan as a resource for customers pursuing efficiency upgrades.
- NEIF: Covers 100% of qualifying energy improvements at a true fixed rate with no fees, no home equity required, terms up to 10 years, and no prepayment penalties.
- GreenSky: Offers 6.99% for 60 months or a 12-month no-interest, no-payment plan (with approved credit).
- SNAP Finance: Approves all credit types with decisions in seconds and approvals up to $5,000.
