Eight Decades. One Family. One Region.  

We’ve been keeping Pennsylvania homes and businesses comfortable since 1945, starting with our founder, Edwin L. Peters. After serving during World War II, installing and testing refrigeration systems on warships at the Philadelphia Navy Yard, Edwin returned home with a clear purpose: to put that hands-on knowledge to work for local families. He opened a shop repairing domestic refrigerators, building a reputation one customer at a time.

In 1954, his son John joined him. Discharged from the Navy and trained at Spring Garden Institute on the G.I. Bill, John brought fresh technical depth to the operation. Together, they took on bigger projects. Peters Engineering, as the company was then known, installed all the heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration in the Mayfair Diner, the most modern stainless steel diner in Philadelphia at the time. That project said something about where we were headed.

Edwin passed away in 1964. John continued the business under the Peters Associates name, and in 1966, his son Joseph, returning from his own Navy service, joined the firm. John retired in 1999, and the next generation took the reins, keeping the traditions intact. Three generations, two Navy veterans, one company that has never changed hands outside the family.

What began as a refrigerator repair shop has grown, step by step, into a full-service heating, cooling, and energy company serving homes and businesses across the region. Over the decades, we have become a total comfort dealer, keeping pace with every shift in residential and commercial HVAC technology, from gas furnaces and boilers to geothermal, ductless systems, hydronics, and smart home integrations.

In 2003, became a Lennox Premier Dealer, a designation we’ve maintained ever since by meeting manufacturer standards and providing our customers with access to the full Lennox product line and associated support. In 2005, we acquired All Temp Heating and Cooling, expanding our reach into Quakertown and the surrounding areas. In 2011, we became state-certified for solar installations, allowing us to handle solar and energy projects that most heating and cooling contractors aren’t licensed to take on.
