Peters Associates was founded by Edwin L. Peters, a World War II Navy veteran who spent the war installing and testing refrigeration systems on U.S. warships at the Philadelphia Navy Yard. He brought that hands-on mechanical foundation into a domestic refrigerator repair shop in 1945. His son John joined in 1954 after completing a heating and air conditioning course at Spring Garden Institute, expanding the business into the broader HVAC field. A third generation took over in 1999, carrying the Peters Associates name and traditions forward.
