HISTORY OF COMPANY……………..

1945 – Edwin L. Peters opens shop for repairing domestic refrigerators, after serving his country during World War II installing and testing the refrigeration on several warships, including the battleship Wisconsin, at the Philadelphia Navy yard.

1951 – Became a Carrier Heating and Air Conditioning Dealer

1954 – Upon being discharged from the Navy and attending Spring Garden Institute for heating and air conditioning technical course under the G.I. Bill, John Peters joins his fathers in business.

1956 – Peters Engineering (company name at that time) installs all the Heating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration in the Mayfair Diner, the most modern stainless steel diner in Philadelphia at that time.

1960 – Company enters into the Fuel Oil business to become a total comfort dealer.

1962 – Added two-way radio dispatched service.

1964 – Edwin L. Peters passes away. John Peters continues the business, changing the name to PETERS ASSOCIATES LTD.

1965 – Moved to larger facilities where we are still located today.

1966 – Joseph Peters returns from a tour in the Navy to join the firm.

1973 – Added Lennox heating and air conditioning to product line.

1976 – Earned 25 year award from Carrier Corporation.

1980 – John Peters became 1st Chairman of Carrier Dealer Advisory Council.

1988 – Company won Carrier Residential Leadership Award.

1992 – Joe and John Peters attended the Air Conditioning Contractors’ Association Quality College.

1992- Earned Lennox 5 Star Dealership

1993 – Won Lennox Dealer Marketing Achievement Award

1995- Peters Associates celebrates 50th year anniversary as Lennox Industries Celebrates their Anniversary.

1999- John Peters retires. The next Generation takes the reins at Peters Associates, keeping traditions intact.

2000- Duct Cleaning machine purchased to add to services offered for air quality.

2003- Peters becomes Lennox Premier Dealer. We are educating ourselves further in Indoor Air Quality.

2005- Celebrates 60-year anniversary. Peters acquires All Temp Heating and Cooling servicing Quakertown and surrounding areas.

2008 – Peters receives Indoor Air Quality Award and Angie’s List, Super Service Award. Our fleet grows as does are family of customers.
